1. Open by appointment after an enquiry
2. When time is set, meet with the hirer and attempt to satisfy their needs
3. When costumes are chosen for hire enter into the invoice book the following details.
(a) Name and Address and Phone contacts
(b) Itemise all details of the costumes being hired e.g. Black dress feather trim, silver gloves and black boa.
(c) Check the price table for hire and put the appropriate amount in the column then add the deposit amount add two together and reach total. List the deposit as refundable on return of the costumes in good order. List date of return
(d) Write a receipt for the total amount received, and then place the deposit amount in a plastic bank bag with a note saying to whom it is to be refunded and the date it was received.
(e) Note on the receipt the Invoice number from the hire book and on the invoice note, the receipt number.
(f) Arrange to appointment for the return of the costumes with the hirer and place this in the office diary. Give them SoACT card with all relevant phone contacts.
(g) When costumes are returned cross off the hire invoice as having been returned, the date and the amount refunded and have the hirer sign the now finalised invoice.
(h) Ensure you check the returned items for damage, cleanliness and each item is returned as listed before handing over the refund of deposit.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

If costumes need any attention re repair, washing and dry cleaning make sure this is attended to immediately.

Example of general outfit is a 20’s dress, boa, gloves and beads, shoes ($30.00 hire and $30 deposit)

Accessories, hats, wigs, boas, aprons individual hire (not with an outfit) $5.00 per item Judges wig $50

And deposit on small items $20 and Judges wig $50
2. DRY CLEANABLE COSTUMES $40.00

3. Multiple items Costume Hire

Example a school end of year concert, another theatre company that is not part of our network (see list)
Or a social organisation from regional and local areas.
