| Our 2014 program has filled up and offers a varied range of entertainment. Following our February Fundays will be Death of a Salesman, the Arthur Miller classic, to be directed by Fay Walters. Fay has been busy auditioning actors over the past few weeks and is looking forward to having a strong cast to bring this moving and thought-provoking work to audiences. Basement Theatre – Thursday to Sunday April 3-6 and April 10-13. Mid-year will be the Riverina Water Ten x 10 Play Fest, which has become a popular annual presentation. To be held in the Nathan Room, Commercial Club over three sessions – 8 pm on Friday 30 May; 8 pm on Saturday 31 May and 3pm on Sunday 1 June. The popular August Month of Sundays slot this year will feature a Pulitzer Prize winner Proof by American playwright David Auburn, to be directed by Michael Mitchell. Basement Theatre – each Sunday afternoon in August. In October, a thoughtful and amusing two-hander, Air Swimming, will be directed by Di Lovett. Basement Theatre – Thursday to Sunday October 9-12 and October 16-20. And an extra treat this year will be the musical comedy Nunsence, to be directed by Irene Robson, and staged at the Wagga Commercial Club in December. So it’s looking like a wonderful year of theatre from SoACT with lots of opportunities for actors, crews and entertainment for audiences.
