April in Paris is brilliantly written with much hilarity throughout and yet tinged with a bittersweet edge as you feel for this couple, who feel lost and trapped in a miserable existence. Their rescue appears in the form of a competition prize that sees them travel to Paris for a romantic weekend for two. April in Paris gained a Laurence Olivier Award nomination for Comedy of the Year and has enjoyed a successful run in the West End in past years.
