SYNOPSIS
Geoff has been looking for the right girl to settle down with, and finally brings Jasmine to his place. She is already smitten with Geoff and now the house is growing on her as well. However Geoff’s ex–girlfriend, who passed away some time ago, doesn’t want to let go.
VEE MALNAR
Vee Malnar is a visual artist and playwright. She has won on numerous occasions at Crash Test, a ten minute play competition in Sydney and since 2010 she has been in every season of Short and Sweet, winning best overall production in the finals this year with her short play Moonage Daydream.
LOUISE BLACKETT
Louise has been involved in the world of theatre for most of her life, through her early years in Wagga as a performer and a period in Melbourne as a professional actress. Over the recent decades, she has devoted her time to teaching, directing and encouraging Wagga children to perform in plays for children. The Children’s Theatre Workshop has been her passion because she delights in bringing to the fore the many talents that so many children possess.
 
2) RETURN TO SENDER

SYNOPSIS
Frank is making a name for himself in the professional boxing world. He hasn’t seen his Dad for years, and when he does there are old scores to settle.
GERRY GREENLAND
Gerry writes for theatre, radio and screen. His awards include a Glen Eira Award: Best Drama Short and Sweet: Outstanding Contribution to Los Angeles Theatre; Best Theatre nomination by L A Stage and an AWGIE nomination. His plays are regularly performed around Australia and overseas. Longer plays include Waiting for Jamie Oliver, Vanny’s Letter, The Blood on Helmut Lange, Manifesto, Mission of Flowers and The Maintenance Room. He is co-founder
of Script-in-Hand, a script development group which has staged over 200 new scripts in moved readings by professional actors and directors.
TRACEY LEANN LONERGAN
Tracey is taking on the role of director after many years as a trained actress and member of SoACT. Directing is an exciting challenge to present a great play with a great cast for Wagga audiences to enjoy.

PETER MALICKI
Peter Maliki is a fiction author, professional editor, arts administrator and award-winning playwright. His plays have won 16 major awards in national and international events and have been performed in 12 countries, including in the Edinburgh Fringe and on the West End. He runs the world’s largest short play festival, Short + Sweet Sydney and is the organisation’s Literary Manager. He also runs Crash Test Drama in Sydney and is the Producer of The Monologue Project. LOGAN FRANKLIN
Logan Franklin has lived in Wagga for 12 years and worked at the Wagga RSL club as a greenkeeper for 10 of these years. Logan has been involved in the Wagga theatre scene for five years, both backstage and acting. Logan is on the committee of SoACT and with this play, he is making his debut as a director and is happy to be part of 2014 Riverina Water Ten x 10 Playfest.

HEIDI SILBERMAN
Heidi Silberman is a Canberra based writer, director and performer. Her plays have been staged in Short + Sweet play festivals where she has also directed and performed. She has had pieces published in anthologies, including The Sound of Silence, which was awarded the 2012 ACT Writing and Publishing Award for Non-Fiction, and In God’s Hands, shortlisted for Caleb Award for Poetry in 2013. Heidi has created and directed improvised shows for Impro ACT including Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, Homeward and Impro ACT’s first show for children Once Upon A…
 FAY WALTERS
Fay is a dedicated School of Arts director and actress. She is a life member of the organisation with a host of productions under her belt. Most recently, Fay directed Death of a Salesman, Hay Fever and Private Lives. Her last role acting on stage was Ten X 10 2014 Loving in the Park.

FIONA HAMER
Having started out as an assistant lizard catcher, Fiona Hamer has been a public servant, a documentary filmmaker, non-broadcast video producer and screenwriter. She has recently moved back to the family farm on the Murrumbidgee to plant trees for revegetation and to finish her novel. This is her second short play.
IRENE ROBSON
Irene Robson started acting and directing at the age of 11. She directed and acted in school plays, community theatre, university theatre and disability theatre. Irene’s most recent productions are Calendar Girls and Driving the Holden in 2013. Irene enjoys being a part of SoACT’s Ten x 10 Playfest.

SYNOPSIS
Is ten minutes long enough to get to know someone as a potential partner? And how much do you really need to know to begin? Speed Dating is a humorous look at a variety of undesirable individuals you might meet, and what happens when two people find a connection.
KYLIE RACKHAM
Kylie is a writer based in Melbourne, after years of improvisation experience with Impro Melbourne and the Court Jesters in Christchurch NZ , she turned to writing. Kylie has had a number of her ten minute plays performed in Short + Sweet including Waiting which was part of the top ten in Sydney’s Festival last year. Her one act play On The Edge scooped the pool at the one act play Festival circuit in 2012 in Victoria and a ten minute version of the same play won judges and audience choice awards at Eltham’s Ten Minute Quickies competition in 2012.
LEAH ELLIS
Leah is a vibrant young actress and director with great musical talent that makes her a very valuable asset to SoACT. This is the second Ten X 10 Playfest for which Leah has donned her director’s hat. Last year she directed The Moment. Leah made a huge impact on stage with her performance in Hairspray 2013.
 
8) THE MAN FROM HARRY’S

SYNOPSIS
Having just set up a new one-man business, Harry’s Online Breakup Agency, the man himself, on behalf of his first client, confronts the feisty Angela in a small restaurant. The assignment, however, doesn’t turn out at all as he had anticipated.
JOHN TILBROOK
For John the inclusion this year of The Man from Harry’s in the Ten x 10 Playfest is the continuation of several months of extraordinary success with his playwriting. He has already had two of his short plays included in Short + Sweet this year, one as a wildcard in Sydney and another as a finalist in Manila, while another has been accepted as a finalist in Eltham Little Theatre’s 10 Minute Quickies. He has recently returned from Queenstown, NZ. Two of his plays were presented, in a pub setting, in Skycity Casino’s Pint-Sized plays. Pint-Sized is a spinoff of the Welsh festival in which two years ago Man From Harry’s was performed, coming third in the audience choice vote.
MARGARET BANNISTER
Margaret is a long time member of SoACT and her passion for theatre has involved her in many activities from front of house and backstage work to her current role as SoACT Treasurer. She was on stage last year in Hay Fever and this year played the secretary, Jenny, in Death of a Salesman. Margaret directed Coda in last year’s Ten x 10 Playfest and is happy to kept busy with two tasks this year, as director of The Man from Harry’s and as Marjorie in Bra in the Car, both of them fun plays.
 
9) THE UNEXPECTED

SYNOPSIS
Lisa is a wreck – she’s unexpectedly expecting and has no idea how to tell her husband. But then Jeannie breaks the unexpected news that she too is pregnant. They plan the future but Robert arrives home with unexpected news of his own.

Greg Gould is a Canberra based poet and playwright. His short plays have been performed in Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney and Mumbai
KRISTIL-RAE MOBBS
Kristil-Rae Mobbs is a local lass who attended Kooringal High School and completed both a Bachelor of Education (Primary) and a Master of Education (IT) CSU Wagga. She has performed with RTC and SoACT in the past and was awarded the Young Citizen of the Year for Wagga Wagga in 2008, before leaving the next day for a teaching position in the Snowy Mountains region.
Over the past six years Kristil has been involved in ten productions with Cooma Little Theatre, including two CAT Award nominations for her role in Stepping Out and Time Flies. Kristil is home again and enjoying being a part of the SoACT family.

SETH FREEMAN
Seth’s plays have been presented at over sixty-five theatres and festivals around the world. He has worked in print (New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, Huffington Post), screen and television. His journalism, fiction, screen and television writing have won numerous awards. He travels frequently, and he also contributes his time to several international organisations involved in education, health care, women’s empowerment and human rights.
 
Diana Lovett
“Seeing characters evolve and scripts come alive is such an exhilarating experience for a director.” Diana coordinated the first SoACT Ten x 10 Play Festival titled Out of the Box.  She directed Oliver for SoACT in 199​3.  And has directed for Newcastle Uni, Elbow Room, RTC, The Fun Factory and SoACT.  She studied her Masters (Directing) at Newcastle University and studied the Meisner Technique in London at The Actors Temple. Recent performances include Boy from Oz and Freedom of the City
